With the new tax year fast approaching, we have seen further improvements to the cash ISA market. We have also seen a new best buy easy access account launched.

Bank of Cyprus UK launched an improved version of its 1 Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA, which pays 1.10% tax free/AER. This new rate is second only to Newcastle Building Society, with its 1 year fixed rate cash ISA paying 1.20% tax free/AER.

For those who would prefer easy access to their funds, Skipton Building Societylaunched a new easy access account, paying 1.02% gross/AER. Although offering a competitive rate, the market-leader remains RCI Bank*, paying 1.10% gross/AER.
