Following 11 years of monitoring UK savings accounts and helping savers to earn more interest on their hard earned cash, we’re excited to announce the finalists for the latest Savings Champion Awards.
Now in its 10th year, our awards acknowledge excellence in a wide range of savings categories, recognising those banks and building societies that have consistently offered competitive rates for savers and promoted competition in the savings market over the last 12 months.
And what a 12 months it’s been. After a decade of rock bottom interest rates, we’ve seen the savings market explode following eight consecutive Bank of England base rate rises, taking it from 0.10% to its current level of 3% - the highest the base rate has been for 14 years.
This has led to some of the best rates on offer rising more than 300% over the last 12 months. But which providers have rewarded savers by passing on these increases?
The Savings Champion awards are the only awards that focus solely on savings – giving this key area of the market the recognition and focus that it deserves.
We celebrate those providers that are driving competition and consistently offering best buy rates to cash savers.

Our judging process is independent, comprehensive and detailed and involves weekly reviews of the savings market for each category throughout the year.
Not only do we look at those providers who offer competitive products to new savers but also those providers that are supporting their existing customers as well.
