What is the interest rate?

Interest rates
Gross4.03%
AER4.11%

These rates are effective from 01/09/2023.

All interest is paid gross and will be added to your account.

Interest is typically paid on the day of the month you opened your account.

‘AER’ means ‘annual equivalent rate’ and is designed to make it easy for you to compare savings products. It tells you how much interest you’d earn if you put some money in an account and left it there for a full year. It takes account of things like how often the interest is paid and assumes any interest paid during that year is added to the balance and earns interest.

‘Gross’ is the rate of interest that’s payable on this account and represents the amount of tax-free interest you’ll earn in a year.

Can Atom bank change the interest rate?

Yes. The interest rate is variable, so can change from time to time.

You can find information about changes to your interest rate and how we’ll tell you about it in the Instant Saver T&Cs.

What would the estimated balance be after 12 months based on a £1,000 deposit?

ProductProjected Balance
Instant Saver£1,041.16

This is the amount of money you’ll have in your account after 12 months, if you put £1,000 in on the day you open it.

This illustration assumes that you don’t make any payments in or out during the 12 months and that interest is paid into the account.

How do I open and manage my account?

You can open and manage this account using the Atom App, which is available from the UK App Store© and the UK Google Play© store.

You must be at least 18 years old and a UK resident to open an account.

Currently, Instant Savers can only be opened as sole accounts and are limited to one per customer.

There’s no minimum deposit to open an Instant Saver account. The Maximum Balance Limit is set out in the Instant Saver T&Cs.

You can only make payments in and out of your Instant Saver via your connected account.

Can I withdraw money?

Yes. You can use the Atom App to make payments out of your Instant Saver via your connected account at any time.

As long as there’s enough money in your account, there’s no limit on the number or value of withdrawals you can make (though a large withdrawal may need to be split across more than one payment).
