Question: I have a fixed rate bond maturing soon and I am looking for somewhere to put the funds. In the past I have just taken out another fixed rate bond, but I am concerned that by doing this I will miss out on any increases in the Bank of England Base Rate. Are fixed rate bonds still worth considering at the moment?
Question: "I have recently inherited £100,000, which is sitting in my Lloyds current account until I decide where the best place is to put it. I constantly hear worrying stories about banks in the news and I am concerned how much of my savings are protected or would be at risk if something happened to my bank, could you give me any advice?"
Question: “We have built up a rainy day fund of £10,000 and we were looking to put it somewhere where we can get as much interest as possible. We need to access the money in an emergency, so do not want to tie the money up and we are wary of risking the capital by investing in stocks and shares.”
