🔔 Ask Anna: I’ve recently opened an account via the Raisin platform. How do I get my bonus?

We’ve had several readers email in about this, as it not completely clear and it’s a slightly unusual process for a savings product, in that you have to claim your bonus directly with Raisin.

Anna's response:

There is a welcome bonus of £50 that is applicable to savers who opened and funded a savings product via Raisin UK with a minimum of £1,000, before 5pm on 2nd August.

From 5pm onwards on the 2nd August, Raisin replaced the £50 bonus with a tiered bonus structure. For balances of £10,000 up to £19,999 there is a £20 bonus, on balances between £20,000 and £39,999 the bonus is £40 and on balances over £40,000 the bonus is £80.

In order to claim this, you need to email Raisin within 30 days of funding your account, using the email address you used to open the account.

Email [email protected] including the subject the word ‘Bonus’ along with your name.

The good news is that for all Savings Champion customers who opened a product via Raisin UK before 5pm on 2nd August but have missed the 30 day deadline for claiming the £50 bonus, you can still claim. Just email them as above, with your details.

For those of you who are eligible for the new bonus, remember you have a 30 day claim period from when you fund your savings product, so make sure you email Raisin UK as soon as possible, but also include the bonus amount that you are eligible for.

It is also worth noting that only one launch bonus can be claimed. This is for new customers only.

⚠ Administration issues?

We understand that, due to demand, Raisin UK has received a very high volume of customer correspondence since July. This has meant they are currently working through a backlog.

They have assured us that they have put new measures in place to improve the speed of their response, including hiring new members of staff to handle this. This alongside a number of other initiatives should improve their customer service in general.

We’d be keen to know about your experience with Raisin UK, good or bad, as it’s essential to us that you have the best experience with any providers we recommend. Hopefully the initiatives that have been implemented have made all the difference.
