Santander’s 123 Current Account fees increased by 150% on Monday 11th, from £2 per month to £5 per month so account users should now consider how they use the account, to ensure they're still getting a good deal and not paying more for the account than they get out of it.

Ask Anna: Q. My 19 year old daughter has a cash ISA with Tesco that has finished its fixed term and is now only paying 0.75% interest. I have seen adverts about the ‘Help to Buy Isa’. Would this be a good option for her to invest in for the future? She has just over £5000.00 at the moment.

As we expected in the run up to Christmas, with savers attention away from the market and focused on preparing for the big day, there has been little activity recently from providers.Several providers have withdrawn accounts from our best buy tables and we can but hope that we will see them come back into the running as we move into 2016.
